About Me

Hi! I am Elizabeth Jackson, founder of LizTutors. I graduated UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I’m currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at Emory University.

As the oldest child of parents who didn’t attend college in the U.S., I had to navigate the academic process mostly on my own—whether it was preparing for standardized tests, tackling challenging science courses, or managing the college application process. I now use what I’ve learned to help students feel more confident in their academic paths.

Over the past few years, I’ve worked with students locally and nationwide through platforms like Wyzant and community-based tutoring. I’ve tutored a wide range of subjects including high school biology and chemistry, SAT/ACT prep, and college essay writing. I’ve also served as a Undergraduate Learning Assistant for UNC’s CHEM 101 course and previously tutored through Kumon and academic honor societies.

Whether you're trying to attend a top college or feel more confident in class, I’m here to help you reach your goals.
